Leal's Mexican Food Restaurants of Clovis - Best Mexican Food Restaurant, Catering, Clovis
Laura Leal continues her families’ tradition of fine Mexican Food, West of the Texas Border, in Clovis, New Mexico. This legacy began in 1957 when the newlyweds, Jesse and Irma Leal, saw the need of providing traditional Mexican food to local residents and the “braceros” that were contracted from the Texas West Valley to tame the Muleshoe and West Texas farm land.
On May 4th 1957, Jesse and Irma Leal opened the Leal’s Café Tortilla Factory, which also served Mexican Barbacoa, Huevos Rancheros, Tamales and Menudo. The legacy expanded when in 1968 “El Nuevo (the New) Leal’s Restaurant” opened its doors on American Blvd. in Muleshoe.
Laura and her siblings were raised in the restaurant business, learning at the side of there beautiful mother, Irma, how to create the best Mexican food. They have expanded the family business by bringing their expertise to Clovis, New Mexico, Plainview, Henrietta, Iowa Park, and Amarillo, Texas.
